Anne Hathaway stars in Prime Video's The Idea of You, where an unexpected love story unfolds, with the trailer being released on Wednesday. The plot revolves around a 40-year-old single mother (Hathaway) who develops feelings for a 24-year-old international pop artist (Nicholas Galitzine) in this film adaptation of Robinne Lee's 2017 book of the same name.
After her recently ex-husband backtracks on his promises to oversee the vacation, the trailer shows Hathaway's Solène taking her 16-year-old daughter to Coachella. While at the event, she has an unexpected romance with August Moon's lead singer, Hayes Campbell (Galitzine), who is part of the world's hottest boy band. Solène has a lot on her plate as she and Campbell manage their unconventional romance—not to mention her daughter, work, and evading the relentless news cycle.
Solène asks Hayes about the opinions of others in the trailer, and he responds that it makes no difference to him. The lovers' romantic journey through the world, complete with exotic holidays, private planes, and sold-out performances, sets the musical tone for the film's first song, Dance Before We Walk, featured in the trailer.
