The Greatest Of All Time - Is there an AI cameo appearance of late actor Vijayakanth in Vijay-starrer? Here’s what we know

The demise of Tamil cinema star Vijayakanth has certainly left a void in the industry. Vijay who considers Vijayakanth his mentor was deeply shocked by the late actor's demise. The Leo actor, who is currently shooting for Venkat Prabhu directorial The Greatest Of All Time, has also been busy after announcing his political debut. However, latest reports suggest that the makers of the Venkat Prabhu directorial is set to bring back Vijayakanth on screen, using AI technology. The reports suggest that the actor’s cameo appearance will be a pivotal role and for which the makers are aiming at using AI to generate the actor’s character. 

Although there hasn’t been any official confirmation regarding this, reports hint that due to actor Vijay’s close association with the late actor, the cameo appearance is Vijay’s way to pay homage to his mentor. Reports state that director Venkat Parbhu has already sought permission from the late actor’s family and that they will be invited to watch the preview of the film. If the reports turn out to be true, Tamil cinema fans will get to watch Vijayakanth on-screen again!

GOAT latest schedule reports

As reported earlier, the shoot of the Vijay-starrer first began in the last quarter of 2023 and recently wrapped up the Pondicherry schedule of the film. As per the latest reports, the next schedule is expected to begin in Sri Lanka. The makers of the sci-fi action thriller are also planning an extensive shooting schedule in Istanbul after wrapping up the Sri Lanka schedule. If everything goes as per the plan, the film’s shoot will be completed by the end of April 2024.

All about The Greatest Of All Time 

The film is touted to be a sci-fi action thriller, where Vijay will be essaying dual roles – a 50-year-old and a 19-year-old. The film is set to have an ensemble star cast featuring, Mohan, Prashanth, Sneha, Laila, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Jayaram, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh, Vaibhav, Premgi Amaren, Aravind Akash, and Ajmal Ameer among others. Yuvan Shankar Raja will be scoring the music for the film while Siddhartha Nuni is the cinematographer. The GOAT is produced by the prestigious banner, AGS Productions. 

 Although not confirmed, the film is rumoured to have a release date coinciding with Vijay’s birthday in June.
