The Great Indian Suicide out on OTT: Where to stream Ram Karthik, Hebah Patel’s film

The Great Indian Suicide, a thriller, marking the directorial debut of Viplove Koneti, has skipped its theatrical release and is arriving directly on OTT. Ram Karthik and Hebah Patel play the lead roles in the film, earlier titled Telisinavaallu. Leading streamer aha has acquired the post-theatrical OTT rights of the film for a fancy price and decided to premiere it on October 6, Friday.

The film is based on true incidents in Madanapalle in relation to a mass suicide (of a family). Sricharan Pakala, an old friend of Viplove Koneti, scored the music for the thriller that also features real-life couple Naresh, Pavitra Lokesh and noted character artiste Jayaprakash.While the film’s shoot was wrapped up long time ago, the decision to release it on OTT was only taken recently.

The story starts off as a romance featuring the pivotal characters, but the male counterpart is stunned when he comes across a strange truth about his lady love’s family. The latter’s father is no more. The family, however, believes in a superstition, trusting that they could bring back the patriarch alive if they all committed suicide. Where is the tale headed? Will the family’s act pay off?

In a recent press meet, Viplove Koneti felt Naresh will make a mark with his performance despite his limited screen presence and hailed Ram Karthik for his matured portrayal, holding his own amidst several stalwarts. He promised to showcase a new dimension to Hebah Patel through The Great Indian Suicide. The latter called it the most exciting film in her career.

Ananth Nag and Ajay Nag V cranked the camera for the film while Dharmendra Kakarla (who recently worked on Athidhi and Gandeevadhari Arjuna) is the editor. KSV is the presenter. aha’s other recent releases include Papam Pasivadu, Nenu Super Woman, Family Dhamaka.
