Hebah Patel, who recently played a pivotal role in ZEE5’s widely watched legal drama Vyavastha, is back in the spotlight for another OTT release on a leading streamer. Her thriller with Ram Karthik, Telisinavaallu, has now opted for a direct-to-OTT release and also has a new title - The Great Indian Suicide. The film is written, directed and produced by Viplove Koneti.

The Great Indian Suicide is skipping its theatrical release and will directly premiere digitally across the globe on aha. The streamer confirmed the premiere date of the thriller today. “A superstition that has made them blind..a belief that got them to script their death..#TheGreatIndianSuicide, A Cult Suicide story from 6th Oct, only on aha!” the streaming platform tweeted.
Naresh VK, Pavitra Lokesh, Jaya Prakash essay other pivotal roles in the film produced under Syringe Cinema while KSV is the presenter. Sricharan Pakala is scoring the music for the thriller whose promos and songs (launched several months ago) made a mark among film buffs. The film’s teaser did well to pique the curiosity of crowds with its unconventional premise.
In The Great Indian Suicide, a family is on the brink of committing a mass suicide, with a motive to resurrect a loved one from the clutches of death. However, the tale takes complex turns with time, keeping viewers engaged with the suspense, drama, and romance with a novel screenplay. Hebah Patel was also part of aha’s earlier OTT release Odela Railway Station.
Even Naresh VK and Pavitra Lokesh’s recent collaboration Malli Pelli registered record viewership on aha. Upendra Reddy is the art director of the film edited by Dharmendra Kakarala. Ananth Nag and Ajay Nag V are the cinematographers. JK Siddhartha is the line producer. After a long wait for release, one hopes that Ram Karthik, Hebah Patel’s film gets its due on OTT.
