The Great Indian Murder trailer: Richa Chadha and Pratik Gandhi join hands to solve the mystery in Hotstar series

Today, the highly-anticipated trailer for its forthcoming Hotstar Specials thriller, The Great Indian Murder, has been released. The film follows a murder investigation across the country on a thrilling journey that culminates in an explosive finish. The series is based on Vikas Swarup's gripping novel, Six Suspects, which revolves around the assassination of a high-profile minister's son. Tigmanshu Dhulia, an acclaimed thriller director, directed the series, which was inspired by the book's Bollywood potboiler trappings to present a thrilling, fresh take on the lives of the corrupt, powerful, and ambitious on screen.

In the series, Vicky Rai is the astute owner of the Rai Group of Industries and the son of Chhattisgarh's Home Minister, Jagannath Rai. He is assassinated in cold blood at a party he throws to celebrate his acquittal in the rape and murder of two Shelter Home girls. The case's investigating officials, DCP Sudha Bhardwaj and Suraj Yadav of the Central Bureau of Investigation, are on the lookout for six suspects in his murder. Vicky Rai's case has also put an unforeseen halt to his father's political career, which he continued to try to win by any means necessary, even after his death. The series is about Sudha and Suraj delving into multiple stories of a single murder, which they weave into their investigations.

Richa Chadha as DCP Sudha Bharadwaj and Pratik Gandhi as Suraj Yadav, a Central Bureau of Investigation official, are tasked with solving the mystery surrounding a murder.

Tigmanshu Dhulia, Vijay Maurya, and Puneet Sharma co-wrote The Great Indian Murder for the screen, and the series also stars Raghubir Yadav, Ashutosh Rana, Sharib Hashmi, Amey Wagh, Jatin Goswami, Shashank Arora, Paoli Dam, and others in crucial parts.

The Great Indian Murder will be accessible in Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Bengali on Disney+ Hotstar beginning February 4, 2022.
