The Great Indian Kapil Show: Second season of Kapil Sharma's chat show to begin on THIS date

Kapil Sharma's The Great Indian Kapil Show is one of the most loved talk shows. The first season grabbed a lot of appreciation and was graced by several Bollywood celebrities and also Hollywood singer Ed Sheeran. Now, the second season is gearing up for its release. 

Second season of The Great Indian Kapil Show 

The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 2 is set to launch on Netflix in September. India Today exclusively reported that the show will begin streaming on the OTT platform from September 21 with new episodes streaming every Saturday thereon.

A source close to the show told the portal that the team shot with the cast of Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, after which they took a short break due to the Raksha Bandhan festivities. The talk show will also welcome major Bollywood stars as well as Netflix projects.

"The format of 'The Great Indian Kapil Show' will remain the same, and even the airport setting. However, the team has also planned a few new elements to add to the fun of the show. The cast and crew were excited to be back on the stage and are raring to bring audiences another laughter-filled season," the source added.

Apart from Kapil, the Great Indian Kapil Show also features Sunil Grover, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Archana Puran Singh, and Rajiv Thakur.

A few days ago, Kapil Sharma shared an update about The Great Indian Kapil Show 2 on his official Instagram handle. Sharing a photo of a bouquet, he gave a sneak peek of his show's star cast. Sharing the picture, Sharma wrote, "The Great Indian Kapil Show season 2 is on the way (sic)."

Earlier, in an official statement, Kapil spoke about continuing his collaboration with Netflix . The comedian said, "Collaborating with Netflix for the Great Indian Kapil Show has been a fulfilling experience and on that note, we promise not to keep our audience waiting for too long for the next season." The final episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show was streamed on June 22, 2024.
