In 2013, famous comedian Kapil Sharma created his show Comedy Nights with Kapil on Colors TV under his production company K9. The show ended in 2016. After that, Sharma started a new show, The Kapil Sharma Show, which also aired on K9 and Sony Entertainment Television. That show ended in 2022. After facing such turbulent times, Netflix recently announced that Sharma's new show will air on their platform. Joining Sharma from his previous show are Archana Puran Singh, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, and Rajeev Thakur. Sunil Grover is back too from the first edition of the franchise.

The latest promotional video of the show sees how Kapil Sharma along with Sunil Grover, Archana Puran Singh, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, and Rajeev Thakur promote the show in front of a middle-class family. “The reason behind the Handa family’s exhilarating laugh is on Netflix. Now, the whole world can laugh with India. Time to laugh,” said Kapil in the promotional video.

Kapil Sharma and his ‘Crew’ connection
Kapil Sharma, a famous comedian, made his film debut in Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon (2015), which had some success. He also starred in Firangi (2017) and Zwigato (2023). He dubbed for The Angry Birds Movie 2 (2019) in Hindi. Known for his live comedy shows, Sharma is still making audiences laugh.
His next movie, Crew, coming out in theaters on March 29, features him in a supporting role alongside actresses Kareena Kapoor, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon.
Sunil Grover and Kapil Sharma fallout
According to a report published in The Indian Express, Kapil Sharma was involved in a highly publicized physical fight with Sunil Grover while they were on a flight returning from Melbourne. This 2017 report believed that Kapil, allegedly under the influence of alcohol, got into a heated confrontation during which he reportedly hit Sunil with a shoe and also slapped him.
