The GOAT plot revealed: Venkat Prabhu confirms the story of Vijay-starrer film

Director Venkat Prabhu is currently working with actor Vijay for the upcoming film The GOAT- Greatest of All Time. The film is scheduled to release in big screens on September 5. Ahead of this, Venkat Prabhu has revealed the plot of Vijay-starrer, which has been creating buzz on social media.

Venkat Prabhu in an exclusive conversation with Cinema Vikatan revealed the plot of the film. Confirming that The GOAT story is fictional, Venkat Prabhu revealed that they have tried to make it close to reality and that it revolves around an anti-terrorist squad called SATS, which works in conjunction with the RAW agency. The GOAT is about how former members of SATS, known for their excellence, will come back to tackle a challenge.

Going by this, it is affirmed that The GOAT will not have a sci-fi angle as speculated. However, we can also expect Venkat Prabhu to surprise his audience, given the film is one of the last few ones Vijay will be acting in before taking a full-fledged political role. The GOAT marks Venkat Prabhu’s first film with Vijay. It also stars Prashanth, Prabhudheva, Sneha, Laila, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Ajmal Ameer, and others.

The makers of The GOAT will be soon unveiling the date when the trailer will be released. The thriller is also said to be inspired by the 2004 Moscow Metro bombing after a suicide bomber detonated and took the lives of many. The GOAT is produced by AGS Entertainment and marks Vijay’s 68thfilm. Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the music for the film. Vijay will be sporting two looks in the film, older and younger versions, the latter of which is done using de-aging technology.

Meanwhile, reports already suggest that Vijay will next team up with director H Vinoth for a film. Actors Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Mamitha Baiju are also expected to be part of it. However, an official announcement on the same has not been made yet.
