The Greatest Of All Time, the long-awaited Thalapathy Vijay starrer is all set to hit the big screens on September 5, 2024. The movie, which is also being called The GOAT, marks the popular star’s first onscreen collaboration with hitmaker Venkat Prabhu. The popular filmmaker, who is currently busy with the promotions of his ambitious project, recently revealed some exciting details in an interview with a leading Tamil media. According to Venkat Prabhu, one of the biggest surprises of The GOAT is its antagonist.
As you may know, Mohan was introduced in The Greatest Of All Time trailer, as the lead antagonist of the film. The casting choice, however, failed to impress a big section of the audience, who felt that the senior actor’s character came across as too weak. However, Venkat Prabhu finally addressed the criticisms and confirmed that Mohan is not the lead antagonist of The GOAT. According to the filmmaker, there is another powerful villain in the Thalapathy Vijay starrer, and it is going to be one of the biggest surprises of the film.
Meanwhile, a section of netizens, who decoded The GOAT trailer yet again, speculate that Thalapathy Vijay himself is set to play the villain in the film. As reported earlier, the crowd-puller is set to play multiple roles in the film, and one of them is a highly skilled spy. The de-aged character played by Vijay has been introduced as the son of the protagonist, who is being trained by his father. However, the netizens noticed that the third Vijay character, who appears in the ‘Matta’ song sequence, could be the villain of the film.
