The Freelancer announcement: Mohit Raina and Anupam Kher helm and star in the patriotic action-drama series

The Freelancer is the upcoming patriotic drama series starring Mohit Raina and the veteran actor Anupam Kher, who have also come together to helm the show. Meanwhile, Neeraj Pandey is the creator and showrunner of the Bhav Dhulia directorial. The makers have announced the Hotstar Special series a notable video that features the pivotal cast of the show as well as behind-the-scenes.

The latest announcement video begins by showcasing how the makers and crew are working together to set up small as well as huge sets for the shoot. Moving on, a few actors can be seen reciting their dialogues in front of the camera. On the other hand, Raina performs some power-packed stunts and shoots combating scenes on the set as well.

The makers dropped the latest montage on YouTube with a special caption that reads, "Get ready to embark on a thrilling journey of action and heart-pounding adrenaline rush by the brilliant Neeraj Pandey. #HotstarSpecials #TheFreelancer - streaming from Sept 1st. #TheFreelancerOnHotstar (sic)."

Based on the novel named A Ticket to Syria by Shirish Thorat, the action-drama series follows the tale of a girl, who gets captured in a hostile environment in the midst of deception and betrayals

Apart from Raina and Kher, the show also has Sushant Singh, Kashmira Pardeshi, John Kokken, Gauri Balaji and Navneet Malik in key roles.

The Freelancer releases on Disney+ Hotstar on September 1.
