In a career close to four decades, Madhuri Dixit has played a number of memorable roles in Bollywood. The actor, who is now ready to make her OTT debut with Netflix series The Fame Game , had a few things to say about the upcoming series.
Talking to Hindustan Times about her OTT debut, the actor said, “It's great that even after 35 years, I am debuting with something. It's wonderful because I'm like a child, like a student of cinema. I love learning. For me, it's a different language of making films, a different system,"
Dixit will be seen in the series as a famous actor, who goes missing following her appearance on the red carpet. Talking about her decision to take up the role she said that though she liked the script in general, she liked the idea of someone famous disappearing suddenly. She added that the directors were great and she thought it was a good fit.
The actor, who has now been working for 35 years, also said that talks about a comeback is “crazy”, because she has always been here and has been working in the public eye.
The series, which was earlier called Finding Anamika, is bankrolled by Johar along with Apoorva Mehta and Somen Mishra, under the banner of Dharmatic Entertainment. Co-directed by Karishma Kohli and Bejoy Nambiar, The Fame Game is set to release on Netflix on February 25.
The show also stars Sanjay Kapoor, Manav Kaul, Suhasini Mulay, Mus kkan Jaferi, Rajshri Deshpande and Gagan Arora.
