The series is co-directed by Karishma Kohli and Bejoy Nambiar. With Sri Rao serving as the showrunner and writer, The Fame Game is set to premiere on February 25 on Netflix .

The series, which was earlier called Finding Anamika, is bankrolled by Johar along with Apoorva Mehta and Somen Mishra, under the banner of Dharmatic Entertainment. The series will follow a famous actor, who goes missing following her appearance on the red carpet. Following this, secrets about the star’s life come out into the open.

Dixit was last seen in the period drama Kalank directed by Abhishek Varman, and also starred other big names such as Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sanjay Dutt among others. She was also the producer of the 2019 Marathi drama August 15 which released on Netflix.
