The Diplomat box office collection day 4: John Abraham and Sadia Khateeb's political thriller recently hit the big screen. Directed by Shivam Nair, the film is set against the backdrop of India-Pakistan relations. Despite mixed feedback, The Diplomat got a decent box-office opening. It remained consistent with its collection for three days. The 3-day box office total was R 13.45 crore. However, the film witnessed a major drop in its collection on day four.

According to early estimates by Sacnilk, John Abraham's The Diplomat earned less than its day three collection. The political thriller reportedly minted Rs 1.50 crore. However, the official box office figures are awaited. Considering this, the four-day total collection stands at Rs 14.95 crore.

Written by Ritesh Shah, The Diplomat follows the story of Indian diplomat JP Singh who rescues an Indian girl Uzma Ahmed from Pakistan. She is deceived into marrying against her will. John Abraham plays the role of JP Singh and Sadia Khateeb is seen as Uzma Ahmed.

In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Sadia Khateeb shared her experience of working with John Abraham in The Diplomat. 

"He’s a fantastic human being and more than that, the world really needs to see him this side. The absolute pure artistic side, which he has portrayed in The Diplomat. You will not see John Abraham in The Diplomat. Him playing JP with his utmost honesty. I’m amazed to see the actor in John Abraham, which we have seen in a lot of films before but it’s truly one of his best performances, as per what I have seen and heard from JP and you will love it," shared Sadia.
