In-depth research and preparation
Collaborating with his co-producer Abhishek Agarwal for The Kashmir Files, Agnihotri immersed himself in research, embarking on extensive journeys from Kerala to Kolkata and Delhi to gather comprehensive and genuine information for his project. He read over 100 books and over 200 articles, which inspired the historical events that form the basis of his film. He and his colleagues combed through more than 7,000 pages of research and 1,000 papers in archives in addition to books, covering 20 states in the process.
Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri will direct The Delhi Files: The Bengal Chapter, which Pallavi Joshi and Abhishek Agarwal produced. I Am Buddha, producing the film, and Tej Narayan Agarwal, hosting, have scheduled the global premiere for August 15, 2025.
