We have several heartwarming family tales especially that revolve around a mother and daughter. This particular series, titled the Club, is touted to bring to us a rollercoaster of incidents that lead to finally reuniting the two at the most unexpected moment.
Is The Club a period drama?
Set in the 1950s of Istanbul, The Club is a Turkish drama series of love, emotions and life that is all set to be uncovered during the time of its release. The series is also expected to be centred around the events of political unrest during that particular period in the city.
What can we expect from The Club?
The upcoming series, as earlier mentioned, shines a light on the reunion of a Jewish mother with her daughter. The mother gets arrested and she tries to reconcile with her daughter after she is released from prison several years later. The series proves that family is not always formed by blood relations but by the bonds you share with them, especially at the least expected moment.
Does The Club also feature elements of Cabaret?
From the looks of the trailer, you will get to see the glitz and glamour of the fifties of Istanbul, where elements of the Moulin Rouge will be highlighted in the series. Apart from the troubled relationship of the mother and daughter, it also considers the art of dance, music and performance with utmost importance. They seem to take the phrase, “The show must go on, no matter what” to a whole new level.
When and where to watch The Club?
