The cast and crew of Don speak about the Sivakarthikeyan-starrer; details inside

Don, starring Sivakarthikeyan, Samuthirakani, SJ Suryah and Priyanka Mohan, is slated to release on May 13. Directed by Cibi Chakravarthy, the film is bankrolled by Lyca Productions and SK Productions. Don has music by Anirudh Ravichander. The pre-release event of the film happened at Jeppiaar Engineering College, where the trailer was also launched. The cast and crew of Don share their experiences of shooting for the same:

Sivaangi, actor-singer: Sivakarthikeyan anna is the reason why I'm a part of this film. He's a wonderful human being who treats everyone equally. I troubled Cibi sir with lots of questions, but he was cool and patient with me. SJ Suryah sir is such a great artist, and I never expected that he would be so down-to-earth. The entire technical team has been a great support to me. I also thank Anirudh sir for giving me a chance to be a part of the Don album.

Bala Saravanan, actor: When I was shooting for Ayalaan, I remember telling Sivakarthikeyan that I was unhappy about having limited scenes with him. He told me not to worry and promised there was another project (Don), which would have a substantial role for me. Sivakarthikeyan kept his word. I am a great fan of SJ Suryah sir. Samuthirakani sir is more like a brother, who takes the privilege to correct us, when we're wrong, and appreciates us when good things are done. Overall, Don will be a fun-filled entertainer!

Raju, actor-Bigg Boss Tamil 5 winner: Sivakarthikeyan is a real don, who has created an empire for himself. I thank everyone for giving me a chance to be a part of this film.

Shariq, actor: It was me who initially asked Cibi if I had a chance to play a small role in Don. I am happy that I got an opportunity to experience college life as I didn't have it, in reality.

SJ Suryah, actor: Don is going to be a 100% summer treat for the audience. I have known Cibi from the days of Mersal. He was the film's co-director. I'd say Cibi has the potential to be someone like Rajkumar Hirani! Sivakarthikeyan’s hard work and good nature will take him to greater heights.

Samuthirakani, actor: Cibi is going to scale greater heights with this film. Don will be a blockbuster, for sure.

Priyanka Arul Mohan, actor: I have got a cute gang for a lifetime while working in this film. It was more like revisiting my college days. I thank SK Productions and Lyca Productions for making me a part of this project. Working with Samuthirakani sir, SJ Suryah has been a great learning experience. I thank Anirudh for his hit album.

Cibi Chakravarthy, director: I am indebted to director Atlee for making me handle a big star cast. This was something I learned from assisting him. He has been my mentor and a well-wisher. A phone call from Sivakarthikeyan sir changed my life. Don will be a fun-filled entertainer!

Sivakarthikeyan, actor: When Cibi narrated the script of Don, I felt happy, as the story emotionally resonated with me. Every Engineering graduate will relate to Don. The big challenge for the entire crew was to face the Pandemic. Almost all the scenes involved a college crowd. If not for their cooperation, we wouldn't have shot the sequences. I am quite happy for Cibi, who has made his parents proud. I hope that he continues to work hard. I am sure he will. Udhayanidhi Stalin sir is releasing Don. The film will witness a wider release with his Midas-touch. Don was more like revisiting my childhood! I thank my fans, who have been showering unconditional love and support on me, through these years.

Many might think Don revolves around the life of college students, but there is also a cute school portion, involving Sivakarthikeyan and Priyanka Arul Mohan.
