The Buckingham Murders is one of the most awaited releases of this year. After its premiere at the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival, fans have been excitedly waiting for the movie's theatrical release. Almost a year after the film festival premiere, The Buckingham Murders is set to arrive in cinemas. Directed by Hansal Mehta, the movie is a crime thriller, featuring a leading Bollywood actress. Helmed by Hansal Mehta, The Buckingham Murders will hit the silver screen on September 13, 2024. It will head for an OTT premiere after its theatrical release.
The makers of The Buckingham Murders unveiled the film's trailer a few days ago. The trailer of Hansal Mehta's film highlighted how Kareena Kapoor Khan goes through emotional turmoil after a personal tragedy. But it also intersects with a murder case that she has to solve as a tough detective.
While sharing the trailer on YouTube, the makers wrote, "Iss kahaani mein sab kuch hai - jhooth aur fareb bhi! How will Detective Bhamra navigate through all? (sic)."
As per the official promotional posters, The Buckingham Murders will have a digital release on Netflix. However, the OTT release date of the film is yet to be confirmed.
Produced by Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ektaa Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor, The Buckingham Murders stars Bebo in the lead role. She is joined by Ranveer Brar, Keith Allen, and Ash Tandon in the film. In this crime thriller, Kareena plays the role of Jasmeet Bhamra, a British-Indian detective.
Earlier, in an interview with Times Now, Hansal Mehta spoke about his movie The Buckingham Murders. The filmmaker said, "This is a film I’m very proud of. Very unlike anything I’ve made before."
