Kareena Kapoor Khan’s The Buckingham Murders is all set to release on Netflix soon. However, the makers have another surprise for all Bebo fans. They can now catch the film before its Netflix premiere, given they are in Mumbai. The Buckingham Murders is going to be the first movie which will be screened at the MAMI Mumbai Film Festival. The film will premiere at The Grand Theatre, NMACC Mumbai on October 27, which happens to be a Friday. So, the movie, helmed by Hansal Mehta, will have the vibe of a theatrical release while also being an OTT release.

New poster revealed

A new poster from the film was revealed a while back. It showed the struggle of a mother who loses her child. The photo is in black-and-white and sees an angry Kareena. The actress has her hair in a ponytail. The poster is released right after Kareena introduced her character on Instagram .

The story of The Buckingham Murders

The Buckingham Murders follows the story of Jass aka Jasmeet Bhamra (played by Kareena Kapoor Khan). She loses her only son, a 10-year-old. He was found murdered in Buckinghamshire. Being a detective herself, Jass goes on a journey to find out about the motive behind the murder, only to uncover a lot of secrets. Soon, everyone in Buckingham becomes a suspect on her list.

About the film

The Buckingham Murders is helmed by Shahid, Scam 1992 and Scoop famed-director, Hansal Mehta. Aseem Arrora, Raghav Raj Kakker and Kashyap Kapoor have penned the story of the film which also stars Keith Allen and Chris Wilson in pivotal roles. Backed by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures, The Buckingham Murders is co-produced by Kareena. The movie is a direct-to-OTT release and will stream on Netflix. The release date for the film is yet to be announced.
