Trailer depicts the “bloody tale” of a close family bond
Michelle Yeoh is returning to woo the audience in her upcoming action series. In the 2:32-minute trailer, we meet the fearless monarch, Eileen Sun, who is heading a criminal family after her husband’s sudden death. While she is blunt and confident about her elder son Charlie, she is stressed out about revealing the dark family secret to her younger son, Bruce. While one brother is an expert, the other is naïve and blunderbuss.
Set in Taipei and Los Angeles, the action-packed series also has dark satire and deadpan humor while throwing fists and kicks at the arch enemies. This latest tale of family drama and criminal organization sets the year start on a high note!
The plot revolves around a criminal Sun family whose life changes drastically after the head of a powerful Taiwanese triad is mysteriously shot by an assassin. What follows next spearheads the further storyline. The Family’s eldest son, Charles (played by Justin Chien) moves to Los Angeles to protect his mother, Eileen (played by Michelle Yeoh), and his naive younger brother, Bruce (played am Song Li) — who doesn’t have a clue about his criminal family and their deadly connections and enemies.
