The Broken News starring Sonali Bendre, Jaideep Ahlawat and Shriya Pilgaonkar is back with another thrilling season on Zee5.

After impressing us with an exciting first season, the makers of The Broken News unveiled the trailer for its much-awaited second season. Sonali Bendre, Jaideep Ahalawat, and Shriya Pilgaonkar, in the new season, will be back reprising their roles as Ameena Qureshi, Dipankar Sayal, and Radha Bhargava, respectively.
In the new season, going by the trailer, we will see the fight of ideologies between two news channels, 'Awaz Bharti, and 'Josh 24x7'. The conflict between 'sansani' and 'sach' intensifies in the new thrilling season, which moves outside the newsroom and turns into a battle of survival on a personal level. The show returns with a new season after almost two years and will premiere on May 3, on ZEE5.
The upcoming season, which is being produced by BBC Studios Productions India, will keep capturing the fictional lives and struggles of journalists as well as their fight between the truth and sensationalism. Many actors including Indraneil Sengupta, Taaruk Raina, Faisal Rashid, and Sanjeeta Bhattacharya are returning in the upcoming season. Additionally, the new season will also see some new faces including Akshay Oberoi, Geetika Vidya, Suchitra Pillai, and more in significant roles.

Speaking about making her OTT debut with The Broken News, Sonali Bendre said, "The Broken News will always be special to me as it marked my OTT debut. We truly were ecstatic with the response to the first season and I am glad that we are returning with another season."
Actor Jaideep Ahlawat, who is known for his intense performance revealed what we can expect from the show and said, "This time around, viewers can expect more newsroom drama, action, and lines getting blurred as things get personal."
Shriya Pilgaonkar, on the other hand, shared her experience working with Sonali and Jaideep. She said, "Working alongside Jaideep sir and Sonali ma'am has been an incredible experience for me. They are both powerhouses of talent, and I've learned so much from sharing the screen with them. I can't wait for audiences to see the magic that we've all created together."
