It feels like the Game Of Thrones domination has begun yet again, and five years after the wrap-up of the original season, now the branches are growing and flourishing stronger. While yesterday it was reported how the footage and glimpses from the pilot episode of the scrapped spin-off Game Of Thrones: Bloodmoon leaked on the internet , the world has woken up to another update from the world of Westeros. As per the latest update, HBO has greenlit another spinoff and has even hired a very interesting writer to shape the same. This has to be the most fiery update of the week for the fans who have been waiting for House Of The Dragon.

About The New Spinoff

For the uninitiated, the world of Game Of Thrones is expanding, and the studio has given the green signal to multiple spin-offs. We are already witnessing House Of The Dragon, and it is up for season 2 now. A latest update now says that the studio has commissioned yet another spinoff that will have a very interesting storyline and an even more interesting writer shaping it. The Batman Part II co-writer Mattson Tomlin has been hired for the same, and the spinoff will be around Aegon’s Conquest.

What Will Be Aegon’s Conquest Based On?

The spin-off is said to be aiming to explore the life of Aegon Targaryen and have him at the center of it all as he rises as the ruler. As per a Screenrant report, the makers are taking a back-to-basics approach that will be sticking to the world that George RR Martin created in the books. Mattson Tomlin has the duty to carry forward this task. While House Of The Dragon was set 172 years before Daenerys Targaryen was born, the conquest of Aegon will be dated much before the events of House Of The Dragon.

Rough calculations suggest that Aegon’s conquest will be set at least 100 years before the events of Game Of Thrones. Which means we might get to see a mightier House Targaryen and more dragons if this news is true. However, there is no confirmation on this at this point. But the makers have been only exploring the past. Bloodmoon was said to be set 10,000 years before the events of Game Of Thrones.

How Many Spin-Offs Are In The Making?

House Of The Dragon is now returning with its second season this year. Meanwhile, Kit Harington will return to play Jon Snow in his standalone spinoff titled Snow. There is no confirmation on the timeline of that one. Which means we might get to see the future where Jon has gone beyond the wall and is ruling that realm probably. Bloodmoon was greenlit but was then canceled. 

There is also The Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight, which is in the advanced stages of production and will go on floors later this year. There is an abundance of Game Of Thrones content coming our way, family.
