A lot has happened around DCU projects in the last few days, and there is no one in the West as happy as James Gunn at the moment, who has finally begun filming his much-anticipated and awaited Superman: Legacy. But while Chapter One: Gods and Monsters has hogged all the limelight, there is also DC Elseworlds, which has a few films in the making.

While we have been getting constant updates on Joker: Folie à Deux, aka Joker 2, there has been radio silence on The Batman Part II, starring Robert Pattinson. It turns out the new update has raised delay concerns, and this is not good for a film that has kept fans waiting for a very long time already.

The Latest Update on The Batman 2

As per the reports that have now gone viral, actors have yet to even get the script for The Batman Part II. Jeffrey Wright, who plays a pivotal role in the film, has revealed that he has yet to read the script of the film. The actor was in a fun mood when he decided to reveal the details and had a joke to crack that definitely would turn out to be a nightmare for director Matt Reeves.

As per Comicbook, Jeffrey Wright said, "Here's the beginning, middle, and end laid out for you. I have not read the script. I have not received the script. I'm waiting patiently. But I'll tell you what? As soon as I get it, I'll call you. I'll send a copy right over to you. On the off chance that Matt Reeves hears this, the hairs on the back of his neck are going to stand up."

This means that it will be very difficult for the makers to meet the deadline that they have set. If the makers manage to begin filming as soon as possible, they will have to work around the clock to make it to the 2025 release.
