What is The Baker & The Beauty about?

The upcoming series will tell the tale of a small-time baker and a big shot actress, whose unexpected crossing of paths leads to an unlikely love story. But not one without its own set of hassles, created by the vastly different worlds the two inhabit. As the two try to work out their differences, it remains to be seen if their love for one another is stronger than the trials and tribulations they face.

The original Hebrew series completed two seasons, with the production for its third underway. The show had become an instant hit with fans and critics, becoming one of the highest-rated series ever in Israel. Although the Telugu remake had been announced over two years ago, for Viu, the exit of the international streaming platform from the country had left the makers in a lurch. Aha Video, who acquired the streaming rights for the show, came as a saviour for fans who were in anticipation of binging the Telugu remake.

Directed by Jonathan Edwards, the ten-episode series will mark the first collaboration between Annapurna Studios and Aha Video. The show stars Santosh Shoban, Sangeeth Shoban , Tina Shilparaj, Jhansi, Srikanth Iyengar and Venkat.
