The Bad Batch season 2 episode 11 review: This Star Wars series takes the unchartered route but we’re not complaining

Story:

A mystery creature has been killing everything on board a ship. The Bad Batch enter the same ship and try to unravel the mystery. Can they?

Review:

The Bad Batch season 2 episode 11 aka Metamorphosis leaves you intrigued as soon as it commences. You get the Stranger Things vibe but in the Star Wars world. While it can be tagged interesting, it is a little out of place, even when it comes to dealing with The Empire.

Kamino and Tipoca City is brought up again. Cid too meets The Bad Batch but only through holograph.

Omega, Hunter, Tech and Wrecker are their usual selves. They each get a time frame for a dialogue this time around.

The Bad Batch come to the scene of horror. While the music does help with the build-up, the expressions definitely do not. The scene goes on-and-on even when you cannot take the suspense no more. After ages, when the terror is finally revealed, it is definitely not something you imagined.

Tech’s intelligence saves the day once more. Well, almost. He almost ruins it too. The terror spreads, making this episode no less than horror.

Echo and Rex are mentioned in this episode. With that, of course, Omega’s depressed side is back.

Nala Se plays a huge part in the series and the ‘clone of a young girl’ (you know it, Omega) is mentioned. This ensures that the upcoming episode will be an interesting watch.

Verdict:

Metamorphosis’ episode of The Bad Batch 2 is rather unique. It does not fit the description of Star Wars, not one bit. However, the horror element does gives it the X-factor. With the slight touch of mystery, this episode becomes an absolute delight to watch.-
