The Archies first look celeb reactions: Amitabh Bachchan to Gauri Khan, Bollywood roots for Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Agastya Nanda

Zoya Akhtar is all set for her upcoming directorial, The Archies. The anticipated movie, which is a Hindi adaptation of the famous comic book of the same name, marks the debut of Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor and Agastya Nanda. The three star kids will share the screen space with a few young actors such as Mihir Ahuja, Yuvraj Menda and Vedang Raina among others. Along with the fans, the Bollywood celebrities are also rooting for the aspiring stars and sharing the new first look video. 

Suhana is the daughter of superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan. Her mother took to Instagram and shared the latest video with an adorable caption that reads, "Congratulations… all the best to all the amazing kids and team of #TheArchies . And who better than @zoieakhtar to guide them through this journey!! You did it @suhanakhan2!!!!!!! (sic)."

Meanwhile, the legendary Amitabh Bachchan, who is the granddad to Agastya, also shared the first look video via his IG handle with a quirky but cute note. The post reads, "another SONrise .. my GrandSON .. all the blessings Agastya .. love you Get ready to take a trip down memory lane 'cause The Archies by @zoieakhtar is coming soon only on @netflix_in (Sic)."

Khushi's sister and actress Janhvi Kapoor also shared the latest official montage on her social media handle and called all the young actors 'The cool kids!!'

Meanwhile, filmmaker Karan Johar shared the first look poster of the movie on his IG page with a long heartfelt note that reads, "I grew up with The Archie’s … and now with so much love in my heart I say the Archie’s grew up in front of me! I grew up with the maker of this new universe! For me this film will never be a film…. It will be a feeling… a burst of love … and so much pride…. Here’s toasting my favourite filmmaker Zoya Akhtar….for always chartering different territories with her every film… And to all the kids on this poster !!! Welcome to the movies !! We can’t wait for these debutants love you guys! Riverdale is my bachpan ka pyaar! (sic)."

The Hindi movie-buffs also shared their excitement on many social media sites, however, some of them also raised the topic of nepotism.

Backed by Zoya Akhtar, Sharad Devarajan, Jon Goldwater and Reema Kagti, The Archies is set to release on Netflix in 2023.
