The Animal effect: Ranbir Kapoor challenges the superstardom of Salman Khan, becomes the second most loved Bollywood actor

Ranbir Kapoor has challenged the superstardom of Salman Khan with just one film, which is Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal. His role in the movie has achieved such heights that Ranbir is now the second most loved Bollywood actor. He has managed to beat Salman, Akshay Kumar and even Hrithik Roshan in taking that position. Ranbir’s friend and competitor Vicky Kaushal has climbed up the ranks too since Meghna Gulzar-directed Sam Bahadur’s release, thus proving the power of the two movies. Ormax Media has unveiled its new list of the top Bollywood actors for the month of December and it doesn’t come as a huge surprise.

Top three

Shah Rukh Khan continues to be the most loved actor. While his movies Pathaan and Jawan were extremely loved, the actor’s latest film Dunki is not making as much noise. Nonetheless, it does not affect SRK’s stardom at all. The one whose stardom is affected is Salman Khan’s. The actor, who was constantly in competition with his friend till now, is at the third spot with Ranbir taking the second. Ranbir’s Animal success and Salman’s Tiger 3 performing lukewarm at the Box Office sure could be the reason for the same.

Vicky Kaushal almost made it to top 5

Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan took the fourth and fifth spot, thus getting them in the top five ranking. Akshay was last seen in Mission Raniganj and Hrithik will appear in Siddharth Anand’s Fighter soon. The movie is making the buzz because it is the first time when Hrithik pairs up with one of the most loved Bollywood actresses, Deepika Padukone. Their chemistry is already the talk of the town and soon, the movie will find its verdict too. Meanwhile, Vicky’s Sam Bahadur found its verdict not too long ago. The film was appreciated, even though it did not receive as much acclaim as its competition, Animal. Nonetheless, the movie has a loyal fan following and has set records of its own. This kept Vicky in the sixth spot in the rankings.

Bottom four

Ranveer Singh, who was in news in the year for his performance in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani, ranked seventh on the list. Aamir Khan, who has not delivered a hit since a while now and is taking a break from acting, still remains on the list. He is on the eighth spot. Kartik Aaryan has been going all out as Chandu Champion these days. The actor is ranked ninth. Sidharth Malhotra is quite the name on social media after joining Rohit Shetty’s cop universe through the web series Indian Police Force. He makes it to the list as well, at number 10. On the film front, he will be seen in the arial action movie Yodha, co-featuring Disha Patani, soon.
