Streaming platforms are notorious for their lack of transparency, allowing them to quote numbers that are tough to verify. Ormax Media, a media consulting firm, has began tracking viewership figures of the top releases across major platforms.
Here’s a list of the most-viewed shows and movies from the Indian streaming space during the week of September 6th, 2021 – September 12th, 2021. The numbers are all estimates based only within India. This list does not include any streaming released from the South.
1) Bhoot Police – Disney+ Hotstar
Views (million): 3.3
Starring Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Yami Gautam, and Javed Jaffrey this is a horror-comedy about a ghostbuster duo who finally meet a ghost worth their salt.
2) Mumbai Diaries 26/11 – Amazon Prime Video
Views (million): 2.7
Starring Mohit Raina, Konkona Sensharma, Shreya Dhanwanthary, among others, this 8-part show follows doctors, nurses, first responders, and other hospital personnel as they are faced first with a humanitarian and then an existential crisis during the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai.

Views (million): 2.0
Starring Aparshakti Khurana, Abhishek Banerjee, and Sharib Hashmi among others, this film is a social dramedy encouraging condom usage.
