The makers of the Malayalam upcoming film Thankamani dropped its trailer today (March 2). The action drama is slated to hit the big screen on March 7.
The main character in this gripping revenge thriller is portrayed by actor Dileep. Ratheesh Raghunandan is the director of Thankamani, which stars Neeta Pillai and Pranitha Subhash as the female leads.

According to the trailer, the actual events that took place in Thankamani, a village in the Kamakshi gram panchayat of the Idukki district, on October 21, 1986, are compellingly described in this film. A bus service dispute gave rise to gunfire and a police baton charge at the end of these events. The Thankamani incident in the 1980s shook Kerala.
In the two-minute and fourteen-second clip, Dileep portrays a Gulf returnee who gets impacted by the terrible event. The incident has an adverse effect on his family as well. It appears to depict the harsh reality of the event, resulting in a few moving scenes to captivate the viewer. It also demonstrates that the tragedy is not the end but rather the start of an uprising led by those who have suffered.
The movie's delayed theatrical release left the actor's fan base. However, the makers revealed the release date last week. In the teaser, actor Siddique talks about the murders that happened in Thankamani.
Due to his choice of mediocre scripts and the actress assault case, Dileep's films have consistently fallen short at the box office in recent years, making this one extremely important to his career. His most recent movie, Bandra, did not do well at the box office.
Under the banners of Ifar Media and Super Good Films, R B Chaudhary and Rafi Mathira have bankrolled this action drama. Other notable actors in the revenge thriller include Thomman Manguva, Ajmal Ameer, Siddique, Manoj K Jayan, Kottayam Ramesh, Major Ravi, Santosh Keezhatoor, Mukta, Sivakami, Sampath Ram, and John Vijay.
