Thani Oruvan: Makers of the Jayam Ravi-starrer set to announce a sequel to the super hit action drama

It's been quite some time since rumours have been doing the rounds regarding the makers of Thani Oruvan making a sequel to it. It looks like the team is finally ready to make a move. AGS Entertainment, which bankrolled the first part, is producing the second part as well.

Mohan Raja, who was at the helm of the superhit action drama, will be wielding the megaphone this time, too. The social media handle of the production house has hinted at an announcement in the offing. According to sources, it is going to be about the much-awaited sequel.

Thani Oruvan's sequel likely to enthrall fans

The movie, which was released in 2015, turned out to be the biggest grosser of Ravi back then. His performance, along with the presence of Arvind Swami, Nayanthara and Thambi Ramaiah among others, were a few highlights of the movie.

Hiphop Tamizha Adhi's pulsating background score played a key role in enhancing some of the effectively made sequences. Arvind's role as an antagonist is considered one of the neatly written villains in the history of Tamil cinema. The project was later remade into Telugu under the title Dhruva.

Fans curious about the cast

As Arvind's character dies in Thani Oruvan's climax, film buffs are curious to know who will play the villain in the sequel. They are also eager to know whether Nayanthara and a few others would be retained in the second part. This is undoubtedly going to be one of the most-anticipated sequels in Kollywood in the coming days.

Ravi already has a few projects in his kitty. Siren, JR 30, Jana Gana Mana and Genie are some of the films that have been announced. His next release will be Ahmed's Iraivan, which has her sharing screen space with Nayanthara for the second time.
