Thangalaan: Pa Ranjith spills the beans on the teaser release of Vikram's much-awaited period drama

Fans of Vikram are eagerly awaiting the release of Thangalaan directed by Pa Ranjith. The project produced by Studio Green is said to be hitting the screens in early 2024. Billed as a period drama set in the 18th century, the movie stars Parvathi and Malavika Mohanan in important characters.

GV Prakash is composing music for the film; this is the first time the musician-actor has joined hands with Ranjith. A promo video and a few stills were already revealed by the makers a while ago.

Pa Ranjith spills the beans on Thangalaan's teaser release

It's been a while since the team has come up with an update on the much-awaited movie. Director Ranjith has now announced that they are planning to release the teaser in a week or two. He also added that a major update will also be revealed along with the teaser.

The movie is Ranjith's big release after almost six years. His last much-hyped movie was Kaala, starring Rajinikanth which was released in 2018. His previous outing was Natchathiram Nagargiradhu which opened to mixed responses.

Vikram's next to release soon

The actor's next outing is the much-delayed Gautham Menon movie Dhruva Natchathiram. The action flick is slated for a release on November 24. The film has been lying in the cans for a few years. The makers announced recently that the movie is ready for a release.

Vikram had three releases in 2022 and two releases in 2023. He is yet to announce his next project after Thangaalan. The big-budget project Karna which was to be made under the helm of RS Vimal was dropped owing to creative differences.
