Jis Joy's Thalavan, which is gearing up for release on February 23, is undoubtedly one of the most-anticipated Mollywood movies releasing this February. With the release around the corner, the makers of the film dropped the latest update from the movie. The makers took to their social media handles to share the BTS video of the dubbing session and announced that the dubbing has officially been completed. The power-packed video features Biju Menon in the dubbing studio reciting his lines, while co-actor Asif Ali is seen greeting the filmmakers. The video ends with Biju Menon saying, “Atheda, njan Thalavana” (Yes, I’m the head), reminding us of the National Award winner's Ayyappan Nair role from Ayyappanum Koshiyum.
The video has truly increased the hype around the investigative thriller, headlined by Asif Ali and Biju Menon. Along with the new update, the makers also hinted that the film's trailer will be unveiled soon.
With this intriguing investigative thriller, director Jis Joy of Bicycle Thieves-fame is making a comeback after a short hiatus. From the teaser, the film hints at an ego-clash between two cops, played by Asif and Biju Menon. This seemingly compelling film has not revealed much in the teaser, however, the overall theme hints at an intriguing action thriller. From Kannur Squad to Anweshippin Kandethum, Malayalam cinema has been offering some of the best investigative thrillers lately, and Thalavan promises to be a worthy addition to the list.
Besides the lead cast, the film stars Dileesh Pothan, Miya George, Anusree, Shankar Ramakrishnan, Ranjith, Jaffer Idukki, Joji Mundakayam, Kottayam Nazeer, Sujith Shanker, Renjit Shekar, Sabumon Abdusamad, Dinesh Prabhakar, Ansal Palluruthy, Tessa, Anuroop, Nandhan Unni, and Bilas Chandrahasan in supporting roles. The screenplay of this investigative thriller has been penned by Anand Thevarakkattu and Sharath Perumbavoor. Deepak Dev has scored the music for the film.
The film is bankrolled by Arun Narayan and Sijo Sebastian under the banner of Arun Narayan Productions and London Studios.
