The buzz in the industry is that Thalapathy Vijay is all set to be part of the 100th project of the popular production house, Super Good Films. Actor Jiiva, the son of producer RB Chowdhury and the founder of Super Good Films had dropped a hint about the same. The actor had shared a BTS video of a recent photo shoot and soon, his Instagram page was flooded with comments asking for an update about Thalapathy68. To which, Jiiva replied, saying, 'soon (sic).'
Jiiva had earlier stated that the team from the production house had indeed met Vijay. Speaking at the event, he said, " I am talking to my father to get me on board, too. Even if they do not pay a salary for the film, it's fine. I hope, with god's grace, the 100th film will be headlined by Vijay sir himself." Some of Vijay's popular film including Poove Unakkaga (1996), Love Today (1997), Thulladha Mananum Thullum (1999), Shahjahan (2001), Thirupaachi (2005) and Jilla (2014) were bankrolled by the same production house and their association goes back to decades.
Meanwhile, fans have begun speculating the names of the directors for the project, and Karthik Subbaraj seems to be topping the list. The Petta director had once stated that he would like to see Vijay as a gangster in a film, and hence, fans are rooting for the combo. Fans are also speculating Santhosh Narayanan as the music director and Sathyan Sooryan as the cinematographer.
In the meantime, Vijay is all set to begin the next leg of shooting of his upcoming film with Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film has Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Priya Anand, Joju George, Gautham Menon, Mysskin, Babu Antony, Mathew Thomas to name a few. Mysskin had today stated that the film was turning out extremely well and that Leo would make for an interesting watch!
