In exciting news, Thalapathy Vijay's son, Jason Sanjay, is gearing up for his debut in the movie world. However, he's taking an unconventional path compared to most star kids. Instead of stepping into the limelight as an actor, he's set to make his entry as a screenwriter and director!
Lyca Productions on Monday announced that it will be bankrolling Jason's directorial debut. The production company's Twitter handle confirmed the news by sharing pictures of Lyca CEO Subaskaran signing the movie contract with Jason.
Jason Sanya's big debut!
In a statement, Subaskaran expressed his excitement about launching Janson's movie career. He seemed very impressed with Janson's grasp of the filmmaking craft at the age of 23. He noted that he was surprised to learn about Janson's hold not just on the art of screenwriting but also the pains and pleasures of film production.
“The movie has a unique story premise and an engrossing experience. When he narrated the script, we were totally satisfied as it gave us a cinematic feel. It’s great to see that he has specialised in screenwriting and direction, but has understood the complete production, which we believe is an essential quality that every filmmaker should master," said Subaskaran.
Jason Sanya's educational background
Jason graduated from Toronto Film School with a diploma in film production and he has also completed a BA (Hons) in screenwriting in London. He seemed to have laid a solid foundation for his journey in movies.
"I am glad that they liked my script, and have given me complete creative freedom to materialise it. We are now in talks with the emerging stars of the industry and some happening technicians," Jason said in a statement.
It's noteworthy that Jason has made several short movies while studying screenwriting in London. He has a YouTube channel named Jason Sanjay Vijay. A few months ago, he shared his short film called Pull the Trigger on his YouTube channel.
