Ever since Trisha began her promotions for Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan 2, she has been asked about one film on a regular basis. And that's none other than Thalapathy Vijay's Leo. Every time she made it to the stage for the promotions of the historical fiction, Trisha was asked for an update about the action entertaine
Though Trisha didn't spill the beans about the film, the actress stated that they were to begin the shoot for the Chennai schedule on May 1. The actress added during an interview that she knew whether the film was part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe or not, but couldn't reveal it as she would get an earful from the team. The actress also revealed that the film will hit screens in October.
Now, we hear that the Chennai schedule will begin on May 5 and that it will go on for a month. The film is also said to have extensive VFX scenes.
Recently, during an awards ceremony, Trisha had stated that she was excited to team up with Vijay after a span of 14 long years. "We had done four films together earlier (Ghilli, Thirupaachi, Aathi and Kuruvi) and thanks to Lokesh, this film will be nothing like any of the previous films. However, the chemistry between Vijay and me would be intact."
Trisha had first teamed up with Vijay in Ghilli (2004). The actress had stated in an interview that she didn't have much of a rapport with Vijay then as he was very quiet on sets. But thanks to the team, they soon became friends and together gave some of the biggest hits. Ghilli was a milestone in the career of both Vijay and Trisha.
Trisha had also stated during Ponniyin Selvan 1 promotions that she was looking forward to working with the Thalapathy as it had been too long since they worked together.
