Thalapathy Vijay's film Leo is set to hit the big screen on October 19, 2023. The movie has already shattered Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Jawan's record.

Thalapathy Vijay's Leo is one of the most anticipated films of this year. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the movie is scheduled to release in cinemas on October 19, 2023. Ahead of its theatrical release, Leo has shattered Shah Rukh Khan's Jawan's advance booking record. The Thalapathy Vijay-starrer has set a new record for the highest number of tickets sold in advance booking.
Leo beats Jawan in advance booking
As per a Sacnilk report, SRK's film Jawan sold 15.75 lakh tickets in advance of its opening day. On the other hand, Thalapthy Vijay's Leo has been able to sell 16 lakh tickets. Having said that, the count can go up to 20 lakh tickets before the opening day.

The advance booking of Leo's Tamil version has sold approximately 13.75 lakh tickets. As for the Hindi version, 20,000 tickets have been sold. On the other hand, the Telugu version's count goes up to 2.10 lakh tickets.

Helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Leo features Vijay in the lead role. Trisha Krishnan, Sanjay Dutt, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Arjun Sarja, and Mysskin play pivotal roles in the 2023 film. It will be released in multiple languages – Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada. Audiences can enjoy watching Leo in 2D as well as IMAX format.

Shah Rukh's Jawan has become the highest-grossing Hindi film in India. The Atlee directorial set the cash registers ringing and turned out to be a box office winner. The movie released in cinemas on September 7, 2023.
While Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi played important roles, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Girija Oak, and others formed the supporting cast. Deepika Padukone had an extended cameo in the movie. The buzz is that Jawan will have an OTT premiere on Netflix. It is likely to be released on SRK's birthday, November 2.
