Thalapathy Vijay established himself as one of the biggest crowd-pullers of the Tamil film industry over the years, with back-to-back successful outings. The celebrated actor was last seen in Leo, the Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial which emerged as the all-time highest-grossing film in his acting career. As per the recent updates, the celebrated actor has an exciting line-up of upcoming projects in the pipeline.

However, the recent updates suggest that Thalapathy Vijay is set to make his political entry very soon. According to the latest reports by the leading Tamil media channels, the Master actor is now set to finally take the first step into his political career by launching a new party soon.

Thalapathy Vijay to announce political entry on his 50th birthday?

According to reports by News18 Tamil and Puthiya Thalaimurai, Vijay is now planning to simultaneously focus on both his acting and political careers from mid-2024. If the reports are to be believed, the celebrated star of Tamil cinema is planning to officially announce his entry into politics on the special occasion of his 50th birthday. Meanwhile, some other reports suggest that the announcement might come early, mostly after Thalapathy Vijay wraps up the shooting of his highly anticipated project, The Greatest Of All Time.

Vijay Makkal Iyakkam to turn into a political party?

The recent updates also suggest that Vijay is planning to turn his official fan club, Vijay Makkal Iyakkam, into a political party very soon. The speculations started doing the rounds after the Leo actor was spotted with the regional administrators of VMI in Panaiyur, Chennai. Reportedly, the celebrated star has been actively discussing the possibilities of converting Vijay Makkal Iyakkam into a political party for quite some time now. If the reports are to be believed, the official formalities for the same have already begun.

Vijay’s legal battle with his father, SA Chandrasekhar

For the uninitiated, Vijay filed a lawsuit against his father, SA Chandrasekhar, a couple of years ago, after the latter began the process of registering Vijay Makkal Iyakkam as a political party. The Varisu actor also issued an official statement, insisting that his father and his friends made this movie without his consent. Thalapathy Vijay also clarified that he is not involved in this movement in any capacity and warned that he will take strict legal action against anyone who tries to use his name and image.
