After a long wait, Thalapathy Vijay addressed his party members and admirers at the grand TVK Vijay Maanadu event, which was held in Vikravandi, Tamil Nadu, today. At the event, the Leo actor opened up about being ridiculed at the beginning of his career.

Interestingly, The GOAT actor revealed that many people ridiculed him at the beginning of his cinema career. Vijay recalled how many people pointed out that he doesn’t have a face, physique, or good looks, to become a leading man in the film industry. According to the crowd-puller, he was even criticized for his hairdo and walking style, at a point.

Even after facing several insults at the beginning of his career, Thalapathy Vijay established himself as one of the biggest superstars the Tamil film industry has ever produced. According to the Leo actor, he patiently waited for every opportunity and every film offer, and achieved everything with hard work and dedication. The popular star added that the lack of encouragement from the industry at the initial stage never discouraged him, but served as a big motivation.
The actor-politician, who further spoke about his film career, stated that he decided to leave films at the peak of his acting career, to serve people. Thalapathy Vijay, who always aspired to become a politician eventually, has decided to retire from films after wrapping up his upcoming 70th film, directed by H Vinoth. However, the fans of Vijay, the actor, still strongly believe that this is just an indefinite break, and the popular star will return after a few years.
