These days, Vijay hits the headlines almost every day for various reasons. The star is gearing up for the grand release of Leo in a few months, and he is said to be planning big with regard to his political entry. Though he hasn't come up with any official confirmation, insiders say his foray into politics is more or less confirmed.

He had organized an event a few weeks ago to honour students from all electoral constituencies of Tamil Nadu, hinting at his interest in making a political entry soon.

It is now heard that the actor is set to initiate night study centres in various places in the state. This is likely to begin on July 15, on the birthday of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Kamaraj. His fans association, widely known as Vijay Makkal Iyakkam, will be monitoring the same.

Political enthusiasts and film buffs are equally curious about how the reformative idea would be implemented. Vijay stressed on the importance of education and voting wisely when he interacted with students at the event a month ago. The sudden plan has taken everyone by surprise.

He has wrapped up his portions for Leo, announced director Lokesh Kanagaraj recently. Vijay will be joining the sets of Venkat Prabhu's Thalapathy 68 before the release of Leo. Amid speculation of him taking a break from acting for a few years, it is heard that he might join hands with Shankar.

The duo teamed up in 2012 for Nanban, the official remake of 3 Idiots. This time around, the two would be aiming for a mammoth project, according to a few sources.
