Thalapathy Vijay is all set to big goodbye to cinema at the peak of his career, to pursue his political aspirations. After a short break, Vijay has resumed the filming of his 69th outing as an actor, today (November 4, 2024). The movie, directed by H Vinoth, has been tentatively titled Thalapathy 69. Meanwhile, some exciting updates on Thalapathy Vijay’s shooting schedule and the Thalapathy 69 release plans, are doing rounds on social media.
As per the latest updates, the shooting of the second schedule of Thalapathy 69, the upcoming H Vinoth directorial, started rolling in Chennai, today, November 4. Thalapathy Vijay, who took a break from the shoot for his party event TVK Vijay Maanadu which was held recently, has also joined the ongoing second schedule. As reported earlier, Vijay and the Thalapathy 69 team shot for a high-voltage song sequence, in the first schedule of the film. The second schedule, on the other hand, majorly involves talkie portions.
If the latest updates are to be believed, Thalapathy Vijay and H Vinoth are planning to wrap up the second shoot schedule of the untitled film, in December 2024. After a short break, the pending portions will be filmed in multiple schedules throughout the first half of 2025. The leading man is planning to wrap up his portions in the film by April 2025. The entire filming of the project will be wrapped up by May 2025.

If things go as planned, Thalapathy 69 will hit the big screens by the third week of October 2025, as a Deepavali special release. Even though the makers have already announced that the Thalapathy Vijay starrer is getting an October 2025 release, they have not revealed the exact date, yet. But now, rumor mills suggest that the H Vinoth directorial might hit the theatres mostly on October 16, 2025, ahead of the Deepavali celebrations. However, none of these reports are officially confirmed, yet.
