Fans of Vijay were elated when the makers of Thalapathy 68 (tentative title) announced the project a few months ago even when the star's Leo was still under production. Venkat Prabhu was brought on board to helm the film that has AGS Entertainment bankrolling it.
The untitled movie is expected to go on floors after a few months. It is likely to hit the screens as a summer release in 2024. This is the first time Vijay and Venkat are collaborating, and cinephiles are eager to know how the filmmaker will be presenting the star.
Some time ago, the filmmaker said that he was not at liberty to divulge details of the project when he was asked to give an update on the same. Yuvan Shankar Raja is the film's composer and it is after two decades that the musician is going to compose music for a Vijay-starrer.
