Actor Meenakshi Chaudhary is very excited about bagging the female lead role in the upcoming movie, Thalapathy 68, which stars Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay. She took to Twitter on Tuesday to express her gratitude after the filmmakers officially confirmed her involvement in the movie.
"Finallyyy! Here goes ! so so grateful and excited for this one !," said Meenakshi Chaudhary.
It must have been such a relief to finally share this big news with the whole world. She was forced to keep this, which is probably the biggest news of her career, under wraps so far owing to various reasons. However, speculations were already rife about her playing Vijay's romantic interest in the movie, which was written and directed by hit filmmaker Venkat Prabhu.
On October 24, the producers AGS Entertainment unveiled a video officially introducing the entire cast and crew of the project.
Meenakshi Chaudhary is a well-known supermodel and has already made quite a mark in the Telugu film industry. She made her film debut in 2021 with Ichata Vahanamulu Niluparadu. She has also appeared in successful films like Khiladi and HIT: The Second Case. Meenakshi is set to star alongside Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu in Guntur Kaaram and made her Tamil debut this year with Kolai.
Thalapathy 68 could help her elevate her career to another level, considering the usual fan frenzy around a Vijay starrer.
The filmmakers had postponed sharing updates about Thalapathy 68 due to the impending release of Leo. Written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the movie was released in cinemas last week and shattered many box office records worldwide.
And the producers of Thalapthy 68 wasted no time in officially announcing the details of the project, adding to the delight of fans of Vijay.
Thalapathy 68 is Vijay's first film with director Venkat Prabhu. It also stars Prasanth, Prabhudeva, Sneha, Laila, and Yogi Babu among others. The shooting of the movie is going on in full swing.
