Thalapathy 67: Lokesh Kanagaraj spills the beans on the much-awaited update on Vijay's next. Details inside

Though Vijay's fans are upbeat about the box office performance of Varisu in Tamil and Telugu, they are curious about his next, Thalapathy 67 (tentative title), which has Lokesh Kanagaraj at the helm. The project was officially launched more than a month ago in Chennai, but makers decided not to reveal anything on it until Varisu completes a decent run at the box office.

Lokesh himself revealed a few days ago that the much-awaited update on the movie would be out in 10 days' time. However, fans started getting slightly disappointed with the director postponing his plans.

Earlier today, Lokesh attended the promotional activity of Michael, starring Sundeep Kishan in the lead. The gangster flick, which is releasing on February 3, is being presented by Lokesh. Movie buffs have been looking forward to the event which was held in Coimbatore as they were pinning hopes on Lokesh to spill some beans on Thalapathy 67.

As expected, he came up with the much-needed respite for Vijay fans. He gave a hint during his speech and asked everyone to remember the dates 1, 2 and 3 in February. This has left fans excited to the core, but a few are left confused with this hint.

Has Lokesh meant that he has surprises for them for three continuous days or has he asked them to wait until the release of Michael? Social media has been abuzz with the filmmaker's latest update, and needless to say, moviegoers will have sleepless nights for a week.

Thalapathy 67 will mark the second collaboration of Vijay and Lokesh after Master which was released in 2021. Anirudh has been roped in to compose music for the movie which will be produced by Seven Screen Studio.
