In a recent interview, Lokesh put these rumours to rest.
‘I approached Rajini sir with the the script of Thalaivar 171’
During a recent interview when the host inquired about the rumours, the Vikram fame director clarified that it was he who approached Rajinikanth with the script, and not the other way around.
“It happened unexpectedly. I had shared the story with Anirudh some time ago. During the initial filming of Leo, he suggested that I should narrate it to Rajini sir. I was initially hesitant, but Anirudh encouraged me to give it a try. The very next day, we visited Rajini sir’s residence and presented the plot to him, and he was keen to sign up for the film,” Lokesh elaborated.
