If the buzz on social media is to go by, Ritika Singh is all set to join the star cast of Superstar Rajinikanth's next, which is tentatively titled Thalaivar 170. The film is helmed by TJ Gnanavel of Jai Bhim fame and has become one of the most awaited projects of the year.

Rajinikanth is said to be playing a police officer in the film and Ritika Singh is said to be playing a cop as well who works alongside the Superstar's character. Meanwhile, Manju Warrier, who has been roped in for the film is likely to play Rajinikanth's wife. The untitled film is bankrolled by Lyca Productions and the project marks their third outing with the actor after 2.0 and Darbar.
Going by a casting call poster that the production had dropped on it social media handle, the film is said to have a strong Kerala connection, especially Trivandrum. The project is said to be based on a real-life story. An official confirmation on all these details are awaited.
Rajinikanth awaits the release of Lal Salaam
Meanwhile, Superstar Rajinikanth is all set be seen in daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth's sports drama, Lal Salaam. The post production of the film is underway and Rajinikanth is said to be playing a character called Moideen Bhai. He will be making a special appearance in the film, which has Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in the lead.
Jailer streams on OTT
Rajinikanth's latest outing Jailer, which is helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar, dropped on OTT on September 7 on Amazon Prime Video. The film is now streaming in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. Jailer revolves around a retired jailer Muthuvel Pandian (Rajinikanth), who is on a mission to trace his missing son. The film has an ensemble star cast which includes Shiva Rajkumar, Jackie Shroff, Mohanlal, Sunil, Ramya Krishnan, Vinayakan, Yogi Babu, Vasanth Ravi and Tamannaah to name a few.
