Fan frenzy follows Superstar Rajinikanth wherever he goes. The traffic came to a standstill in Thiruvananthapuram recently as fans gathered to catch a glimpse of Rajinikanth, who is shooting there for his upcoming movie Thalaivar 170.
A viral video showed fans working themselves into a frenzy as they gheraoed the car carrying Rajinikanth. In order to satisfy the fans' request, Rajinikanth stood out of his car's sunroof and greeted his fans. Rajinikanth seemed visibly delighted to receive such love and admiration from fans in Kerala.

Jailer became the biggest Tamil earner at the Kerala box office. The movie managed to sell more than Rs 57 crore worth of tickets in the state alone. It gave the Onam releases, including Dulquer Salmaan's King of Kotha and RDX, a run for their money at the Kerala box office.
Thalaivar 170 in production
Earlier this week, Rajinikanth reached Kerala to join the sets of director TJ Gnanavel's next movie, which has been temporarily titled Thalaivar 170.
Besides Rajinikanth, Thalaivar 170 boasts a huge star cast, including Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan. The two icons of the Indian film industry will be sharing the screen space after a gap of so many years. The duo earlier acted together in movies like Geraftaar (1985) and Hum (1991).
Thalaivar 170 also stars Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Dushara Vijayan and Ritika Singh among others. This is one of the biggest star ensembles in the Tamil film industry.
According to reports, Rajinikanth is essaying a cop role in the movie.
Bankrolled by Lyca Productions, Thalaivar 170 is expected to arrive in cinemas next year.
