Superstar Rajinikanth is all set to begin the shoot for his next, which is tentatively being referred to as Thalaivar 170. The film is directed by TJ Gnanavel, and has an ensemble star cast.
Popular celebrity hairstylist roped in for the Superstar
The latest we hear is that celebrity hairstylist Aalik Hakim has been roped to style the looks of the superstar. Dropping a picture with Rajinikanth, Hakim wrote that something exciting was underway. His caption read, "One & Only @rajinikanth A day well spent in Chennai with Sir Rajinikanth…His passion towards his craft is something that inspires everyone around him. He is the KING for a reason . Something exciting coming soon #rajinikanth #thalaivar170 #aalimhakim (sic)."
Dhoni's stylist for Rajinikanth
It is to be noted that he recently styled Thala Dhoni's look as well, which has become a hit on the internet. Hakim had shared his excitement on his social media handle, "Yesssss!!! it’s our King Mahendra Singh Dhoni @msdhoni Really enjoyed creating this hairstyle with all new texture and colour for Mahi bhai.. Sharing some pics which I clicked before he went to give a shot for an ad film (sic)."
A power-packed Thalaivar 170 team
Thalaivar 170 brings together two of the biggest faces in the Indian film industry, Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth. The last time they had shared screen space was in Hum (1991). So, their getting together after 32 long years has become the talk of the town. The duo had also worked together in Andha Kanoon (1983) and Geraftaar (1985). Thalaivar 170 will mark Amitabh Bachchan's debut in Tamil.
The film's star cast also comprises Manju Warrier, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Ritika Singh and Dushara Vijayan to name a few. The film will have music by Anirudh Ravichander, marking his fourth collaboration with the superstar after Petta, Darbar and Jailer. Thalaivar 170 is bankrolled by Lyca Productions.
