Thalaimai Seyalagam 2024: Release date, plot, platform, cast, crew, and more

Thalaimai Seyalagam is the new Tamil series in town. Touted to be a political drama series, it is directed by filmmaker Vasanthabalan and will premiere on ZEE5 very soon. The series is headlined by actor Kishore who has appeared in films like Kantara and Viduthalai. Read further to know more about Thalaimai Seyalagam.

Release date

Thalaimai Seyalagam is set to premiere on ZEE5 on May 17. The series is a political drama, which is largely set in Tamil Nadu. A ZEE5 original, the upcoming series is part of the Tamil content slate of the platform. It will be releasing on the same day as Santhanam’s Inga Naan Thaan Kingu and Election, both which will be theatrical releases.

Plot

Set against the political landscape of Tamil Nadu, Kishore plays Arunachalam, the leader and face of his party who seems to be caught in trouble. Promising to be a tale of power, politics, and corruption, the series traverses through the cutthroat political atmosphere with each character having a motive of its own.

The trailer of Thalaimai Seyalagam tells how politics can become an addiction, biggest of them all. Various characters are introduced, with Kishore at the centre. There seems to be trouble brewing revolving around a case and how its verdict can change the fate of the political party and its leader in contrasting ways. We are shown various characters talking about how corrupt that party is, various groups associated with it and how politicians view their profession.

Cast and crew

The series is written and directed by Vasanthabalan who is known for films like Angadi Theru, Veyil and Kaaviya Thalaivan. Thalaimai Seyalagam is headlined by Kishore and also stars Sriya Reddy, Bharath, Ramya Nambessan, Aditya Menon, Kani Kusruti, Niroop Nandakumar, Darsha Gupta, Sarah Black, Siddharth Vipin, YGM, Santhana Bharathi, Kavitha Bharathi and others.

It is produced by actors Radikaa Sarathkumar and R Sarathkumar under their production house banner, Radaan Mediaworks India Limited. The series is shot by Wide Angle Ravishankar and Ghibran has composed the music. Simon King has worked on the background score. Ravikumar M is the editor.

Number of episodes

Thalaimai Seyalagam will consist of eight episodes that will run for an average of 35 minutes each. The series is set to premiere on ZEE5 on May 17. It will also be available on OTTplay Premium.
