Test OTT release: Nayanthara as Kumudha is a woman of resilience | Watch teaser

Only on Thursday the makers of upcoming Tamil film Test unveiled the character teaser of actor Siddharth, who plays one of the lead roles apart from Nayanthara and Madhavan. Now, the teaser of Nayanthara as Kumudha has been released by the makers. Test will be skipping a theatrical release, and will premiere on Netflix on April 4.

In Test, presented by Netflix and YNOT Studios, Kumudha, played by Nayanthara, longs for a life built on love—a small house, a devoted husband, and a child to call her mother. But life has a way of testing even the purest of dreams.

Nayanthara's Kumudha is introduced a woman with simple dreams, to have a loving husband and a child. She is also a teacher who is empathetic and caring towards her students, while also have undergone a miscarriage and undertaking a treatment. As she goes through a range of emotions, Kumudha seems to be a woman of resilience too.

Caught between hope and heartbreak, she fights for the life she has always wanted, even when the odds seem stacked against her. Her story is a testament to every woman who dares to dream and refuses to give up.

Speaking about her character, Nayanthara shares, "Kumudha's strength is in the simplicity of her dreams—a home, a family, and a love that lasts. But life tests her in ways she never expected, pushing her to fight for what truly matters. Portraying her journey was deeply moving, and I hope audiences feel every emotion she goes through."

Test OTT release:

Written and directed by S Sashikanth in his directorial debut, he is bankrolling Test along with under YNOT Studios. Actors Madhavan, Siddharth, Meera Jasmine play important roles in the film. Test will be one of the first Tamil originals for Netflix this year. It will debut on April 4.

Test is a cricket-based film, which will intersperse sports and drama to tell an emotional story. The film adds itself to the slew of cricket-based films that has come in Tamil cinema.
