Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya (TBMAUJ), an impossible love story, opened to mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike. Starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles, the film got a slow start at the box office, only to witness a growth in its collection later. However, TBMAUJ saw a major dip in its collection on days 4 and 5. But the movie gained momentum at the ticket window on day six.
According to early estimates by Sacnilk, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya minted Rs 6.75 crore on day six at the box office. Considering it, the total domestic collection of TBMAUJ now stands at Rs 41.35 crore. On day five, the Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon-starrer earned Rs 3.85 crore at the box office.
Given that TBMAUJ has witnessed growth at the ticket window, the film has the potential to earn well in the coming days. In fact, the Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah directorial has an additional week to perform well. Next Friday, two Bollywood films, Crakk and Article 370, will be released in cinemas. And that could hamper the future of Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya at the box office.
Meanwhile, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya has performed well at the global box office. The film minted Rs 55.05 crore (gross) at the worldwide ticket window. Interestingly, Shahid got his biggest overseas opening with TBMAUJ. With a collection of $2.4 million, the film also surpassed the overseas weekend collection of Kabir Singh, which was Shahid's 2019 film.
The buzz is that Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya 2 will be made. Janhvi Kapoor, who had a special appearance in TBMAUJ, will have a full-fledged role in the second installment. However, an official confirmation from the makers is awaited.
