OTT platform aha, that takes pride in ensuring 100% local entertainment across Tamil and Telugu languages, has slashed subscription prices for its new Telugu users, starting this June. The platform, to lure new subscribers, is coming up with an exciting slate of content slate for the coming months.

Telugu users, from this June, can acquire a quarterly subscription of aha at Rs 99 where they can access the platform's new releases including films, series, and originals. Those preferring an annual subscription can pay Rs 299 to access their content. The offer is valid for Telugu users throughout June.

The streaming platform has a big release this weekend - the Vishwak Sen, Rukshar Dhillon and Ritika Nayak starrer - Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam on June 3. It is also coming up with a horror show, headlined by Regina Cassandra, titled Anya Tutorials, backed by Baahubali makers Arka Media.

Some of aha’s successful releases this year include Telugu Indian Idol, Unstoppable with NBK, Bheemla Nayak, DJ Tillu, to name a few. aha has over 1.5 million unbundled paid consumers and 5 million SVOD users on the whole. Recent ORMAX surveys suggest that aha is the most preferred brand among users with great recall value.

aha’s CEO Ajit K Thakur, CEO opined that the new subscription prices are a great opportunity for users to watch content in their local language.
